“Whats for you, will not pass you” Ellenborough Park Wedding for Sarah and Lyle

A wonderful day at Ellenborough Park in Cheltenham for Sarah and Lyle.

I started the day with Sarah as she got ready with her bridesmaids and both the Mums. It’s was probably the most relaxed bridal prep I have ever witnessed. Gifts being handed out, tears shed and most of the ladies lost it when Sarah revealed the dress to her Father. A touching moment I was thrilled to have caught.

Meanwhile Lyle was getting ready close by and once he was ready he headed to the bar to meet his guests. All the while Ruth from Finesse Planning was finishing off the wonderful decoration internally.

Howard was the Master of Ceremonies and ushered guests to the ceremony and he did a Stirling role all day in gathering, people moving as well as adding an extra element of formality to Sarah and Lyles day.

When everyone was in position Sarah and her Father entered the room with her bridesmaids and the bagpiper who was first.

After a short ceremony and a wonderful reading, the couple were wed and celebrated by having a kiss.

A very very long confetti line was created by Bex (Fulton Photography) and I and the newlyweds were showered by predominantly white and yellow confetti.

There were lots of nods to a traditional Scottish wedding customs and sipping whisky was apparent all the day through.

After the wedding breakfast we were treated to 8 speeches (where the Groom was ‘roasted’ thoroughly), immediately after these had finished the photographer and I rushed outside to capture the Bride and Groom with the most gorgeous sunset that the Cotswolds have to offer.

The evening was then capped off by singing and dancing and there was even a Groom and Mother of the Bride dance – always nice to see.
