~ Aragorn & Arwen ~ Merriscourt Wedding {Gemma & Sam}

A beautiful sunny day welcomed Sam and Gemma as they celebrated their Merriscourt Wedding.

It was our first ever visit to Merriscourt and (as a farmers boy) I absolutely loved it. Even thought it was overcast for most of the day, it was lovely and warm and with everyones smiles throughout the day, it was oh so welcoming.

Gemma got ready with her Bridesmaids in the Pump Room and Sam got ready with his Ushers and Best Man in one of the cottage.

It was another day of firsts as I was working with Sam Gibson Photography, who was genuinely amazing to work with and very respectful to the video format I was creating. I hope I was as respectful to his medium as he was to mine.

Once everyone was in the barn and settled, the bridesmaids entered the barn, soon followed by the Bride with her Mother. A touching moment for them both.

After a vow or two and a couple of JRR Tolkien readings/poems, the couple were wed and celebrated with a kiss.

Sam and I arranged their guests into a couple of lines so we got a wonderful confetti experience for them both. Their drinks reception was a mixture or inside and outside and after a few formal photos with Sam we took the couple off for a few artsy photos in the beautiful rolling countryside. All the while the superb staff ushered their guests into the dual barns ready for their wedding breakfast.

Once the Bride and Groom were greeted into the barn and a beautiful three course meal was served we headed into the speeches. The Mother of the Bride, the Groom and the Best Man all delivered touching and emotive speeches. Especially you Mum – you all did ever so well.

The evening crept up on us and the band let the couple into the first dance and long into the evening.

Super, super, super day.  I am so happy you chose me to capture your day.
